Compassion
To become sympathetically conscious of the situations, conditions, and circumstances under which refugees and migrants live in various communities of the world and pursue our goal to alleviate their distress.
Community
Encourage refugees and migrants to maintain a feeling of fellowship with one another based on the recognition that they share common attitudes, interests, and goals.
To help and encourage refugees and migrants to establish true communities of love, unity, peace, and friendship that will positively impact the communities in which they live and generate positive attitudes among the local citizens towards them.
Care
We will work to provide what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of refugees and migrants worldwide. We will be there for refugees and migrants in their times of need and loneliness.
Voice of the Voiceless
We will work to achieve the following;
- Provide advocacy and intervention for and on behalf of refugees and migrants who are without the power or right to express an opinion or exercise their rights
- Defend the rights of refugees and migrants worldwide through legal and nonviolent means.
- Encourage refugees and migrants worldwide to understand that each refugee and migrant is a friend and keeper of the other and that it is time to stand up, speak out, and unite wherever they find themselves.
Multicultural Teamwork
Refugees and migrants from different cultures and nationalities must lead and participate in the work of RMCI with humility and sacrifice in a cross-cultural environment or setting.
All who participate in the work of RMCI must be capable of showing positive attitude and respect to the country in which they work and its people and culture.
All who participate in the work of RMCI must have the ability to work and relate among different cultures and especially with refugees and migrants from different Backgrounds.
Service
We will help and encourage refugees and migrants to organize and implement community-based projects and programs on a voluntary basis to meet the needs of the communities in which they live.
Service develops relationships of mutual benefit, by nurturing positive attitudes in local communities where refugees, migrants, and local citizens live.
